This Privacy Policy describes how the GoCartoon mobile application manages your privacy. GoCartoon uses advanced neural network technology for photo editing, allowing you to transform portraits into cartoon styles.

1. Information Collection and Use


1.1 Photos and Videos  

Face Data Collection: When you upload a photo, it may contain facial data (e.g., facial landmarks or feature points). This data is **only used temporarily** and **exclusively for transforming the image into a cartoon style**.


- No biometric identifiers (e.g., facial geometry, facial recognition templates) are collected.  

- No face data is used for user identification, authentication, analytics, or advertising.  

- The data is processed on **secure, cloud-based third-party servers**, and is **automatically deleted within 5 minutes** after processing.  

- GoCartoon does **not store**, retain, or log any facial data after the image has been processed.


Encryption and Deletion: Photos are encrypted in transit using HTTPS. A local key stored only on your device ensures that only your session can access the photo. After the transformation is complete, all uploaded content is **deleted permanently from our server** within 5 minutes.


1.2 Personal Information  

We collect limited personal information when you grant camera or photo library access. No biometric or personally identifiable information is stored or shared.


Facial feature data is processed **only** for editing photos and is **not reused, stored, shared, or repurposed**.

Core Functionality: To process uploaded images and return cartoon-style renderings.


Improvements: To enhance app performance and user experience (without using any photo or face data).


Communication: We may send you updates or promotional content if you opt-in.


Legal Compliance: We may use your data to meet legal obligations or ensure safety.

3. Data Sharing  

We **do not share** face data or personal photo content with third parties, advertisers, or analytics platforms.


Third-Party Processors: Uploaded photos are temporarily processed on secure cloud-based servers for the sole purpose of image editing. These servers are stateless and do **not retain any data** after processing.


Legal Requirements: We may disclose minimal data (excluding face or photo data) to comply with legal obligations if required by law.

4. Data Retention  

Photos: All uploaded photos and their associated facial data are **deleted from our servers within 5 minutes** after the image transformation is complete.


Face Data: Not retained under any circumstances.


Other App Data: Retained only as long as needed to fulfill app functionality, such as local preferences or opt-in settings.
